Movies encourage social evils?

Gone the times when parents and elders were ready to watch the movie with their children!   Entertainment is an important part of human life. Important because it brings people together, it is a wonderful way where family and friends bond.  Entertainment helps relax, refresh and takes the mind off from worrying about the things that are to be done. Most importantly entertainment brings happiness.  * I DON'T THINK THAT MOVIES ENCOURAGES EVILNESS IN THE SOCIETY.  1)  Films not only provide employment to a large number of people, they also encourage cultural activities like art, drama, music, etc. through their support. Thus, they help develop people's aesthetics sense.  2) T he medium of films influences people as nothing else, it can be used to motivate people in achieving social causes and in building opinion against strikes, violence, untouchability, dowry system, black money, corruption, recourse to terrorism etc.  3 )  By watching a mov...

LIFE ?

“I have always believed, and I still believe, that whatever good or bad fortune may come our way we can always give it meaning and transform it into something of value.”  It is true that optimists, or positive thinkers, are at an advantage in life compared to pessimists. This is because of the effect your mindset and attitude have on everything we come across. Our social relationships, our job and also our health are an integral part of our daily life.   Positive thinking is power for your soul. Whether you are an optimist or a pessimist.  Spend Time With People You Love That’s your family and best friends. If you don’t have a family, create one. Most people in life are only visitors. Family is for life. Don't start relationship if you are not in love.  Be Grateful.        Say thank u to everyone and everything. Thank you for this                beautiful day.   4. MEDITATION

“Meditation nourishes the mind in the same way that food nourishes the body.”   Some people think that the purpose of meditation is to stop the mind. They sit, and they try. Soon they get into a fight with their mind, a fight that they lose. Frustrated, they give up.  Calming the mind is a more appropriate goal, and a good way to do it is by paying attention to the breath.   That rhythm can be irregular, because we are going from thought to thought, from one thing to another. As we continue to follow the breath instead of our thoughts, the breath gets into a steady, regular rhythm.  The breath is like a swing on the playground. As you breathe in, first it accelerates. Then it slows down near the end. Then it comes to an unstable stop and starts going again in the other direction. The speed is always changing. To notice all this, you need not only awareness, but also concentration.  I Can Feel My Breath in a Number of Ways: I can feel it in my di...

OVER THINKING MIND!

Image
Stop Spending So Much Time In Your Head! 99% of all thoughts are useless but they’re still controlling your life .  I know something about you without knowing you. I bet you spend A LOT of time in your head. You know, thinking, worrying, stressing, freaking out — call it whatever you want. I call it a preoccupied mind. And with what?  99% of your thoughts are useless. All my life i have been obsessed with practical things. Practical philosophy, practical knowledge, practical books, practical work and practical advice.  “The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.”  You have the ability to decide what you think. Or, you can choose NOT to think.  If you’re constantly thinking, it’s because you haven’t trained your mind yet. You HAVE to get out of your head.  ''If you can change your mind, you can change your life.”  Which thoughts are useful? Thinking about how you can solve problems.  A problem is just an u...

The Elements Of Writing Style

There are hundreds, perhaps thousands, of writing guides out there. But in my opinion, none surpass the simple, direct advice of  The Elements of Style.  But I would like to provide my own version on  important writing tips as they apply to blogging. 1)  Use short paragraphs -  Look at any newspaper and notice how short the paragraphs are. That’s done to make reading easier since our brains take in information better when ideas are broken into small chunks.  But in blogging, the style is less formal and paragraphs may be as short as a single sentence or even a single word.  2)  Use short sentences -  You should keep sentences short for the same reason you keep paragraphs short: they’re easier to read and understand.    Each sentence should have one simple thought.  3)   Use simple words -  Since your purpose is to communicate and not impress, simple words work better than big ones. Write “get” instead of “...
